Coffeehouse at Lake Highlands is proud to announce the return of Steve Leach as our Featured Artist for January coffeehouse. Steve has performed with the Lost Serenaders and other musical acts, and will be entertaining us with songs for the 30's to the 60's and his own originals.
Open mic will be from 7:30 till 8:30, and Steve will take the stage at 8:45 for a one hour set.
Come join us for a great evening of music. Admission is FREE, and so is the coffee!

Coffeehouse at Lake Highlands Church started in February of 2010 with an open mic night. We have had a coffeehouse most every month since then. We have enjoyed the music of some very talented local artists, and will continue with open mic nights and "Featured Artists" as long as there is an interest. Starting January 2012 we are moving to Saturday nights ------ Do you have a song to sing, a poem to recite, an instrument to play? We have your stage. All "family friendly" music is welcome. Acoustic or "unplugged" only please. Bring a friend and come enjoy some free coffee and music.

October coffeehouse is coming up on the 21st. We will have a special guest, Chris Stern, as our featured artist this month. Open mic will be from 7:30 till 8:30, and then Chris will play till 9:30pm. Chris is a singer/songwriter from England who is visiting Texas. You can check out his music at chrisstern.com (or click on the link in our "featured artist" section). As always, admission is free. September Coffeehouse is on the 23rd, and we have something special planned this month. We are hosting a CD release party for Christine Hand! She and her husband and dad will be joining us for and evening of music and fun.
Doors open at 7pm, and at 7:30 Brian Holand will be opening for Christine with a 30 minute set you won't want to miss. If you've never heard Brian play you are in for a treat.
So come join us on Friday the 23rd, we hope to see you there.

Lake Highlands coffeehouse is proud to welcome "the Wimberley's" as our Featured Artist For June. They are a 4-piece acoustic group who play Americana: songs and tunes that tell stories and reflect the disparate influences of American music. Fiddle tunes, folk songs, gospel music.

Coffeehouse at Lake Highlands welcomes "High Maintenance" as this month's Featured artist. They are a 5 piece acoustic band playing John Prine, David Byrd, Old Crow Medicine Show and others.

The Lost Serenaders are returning in November! Since the last Friday of the month is the day after Thanksgiving, our coffeehouse will be on Friday the 19th. Open mic will be from 7-9, and then Steve, Gabrielle and Debbie will perform from 9-10.

The Lost Serenaders have agreed to be the featured artist at our July 30 coffeehouse! The Good News:
Our April Coffeehouse pictures are now included in the slideshow at the bottom of the page.

The Bad News:
Due to a lack of planning on our part, the May coffeehouse was scheduled on the Friday before Memorial Day. Not good. Too many people are going to be out of town. So we are going to have to cancel May 28 coffeehouse. We will pick up on June 25, when we will feature Christine Hand and Adam Jones.

March Coffeehouse was another great success! April coffeehouse is only 2 weeks away. This will (hopefully) be the last "all open mic night" coffeehouse. Beginning in May, we will have open mic from 7 till 9, and then have an act scheduled to play from 9 till 10. The Lost Serenaders are starting us off May 28th.
So brush up on your favorite songs, and we'll see you April 23rd. Doors open at 7, music starts at 7:30.
